Obaproof Latex 999 is a cement modifier, consisting of Latex polymer emulsion for enhancing the adhesion strength of mortar, tile adhesive cement, plastering cement, cement/ sand screed, render repair mortar, grouting cement and etc.

 

Uses:

• Mix with cement based adhesive for fixing ceramic tiles, marble, slate and natural stone onto concrete, cement render and rendered brickwork surfaces

• Mix with neat cement and sand as a slurry bond coat to fix rendered or bed tiles over uneven concrete

• For plastering works

• As a primer, seals surface dust, improves water resistance & acts as bonding agent prior to fixing tiles. Also aid in bonding prior to application of self-levelling compounds

 

Mixing Ratio and Coverage:

Thick Bed Mortar:

1 Bag Portland cement (50kg),

3 Parts sand (150kg),

Obaproof Latex 999 (20kg).

Coverage: approximately 1m2 to a depth of 100mm.

 

Dry Mortar:

1 Bag F1-388 (25kg),

Obaproof Latex 999 (5kg).

Coverage: approximately 6m2 with 3mm bed.

Limitations:

• Minimum ambient and substrate temperature is 5°C during application and drying period.

• Do not apply on weather exposed horizontal areas or where immersion in water may occur.

• Do not apply as a finish coating.

• Do not apply directly over wood surfaces.
