PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

SikaCeram®-88 Easy Fix Cementitious Tile Adhesive is a one-pack, premixed cementitious tile adhesive specially formulated for bonding ceramic tiles and mosaic tiles to walls and floors. It contains cement, polymers, quartz minerals and additives, providing easy application, good workability and reliable adhesion to common construction substrates.

SikaCeram®-88 is designed as a convenient alternative to traditional tile installation using cement and sand. It can be applied in continuous thin layers up to 10 mm thick and provides good adhesion to common substrates including concrete, cementitious mortar, stone and bricks.

For porcelain tiles, Sika Malaysia specifies that SikaCeram®-88 should be mixed with SikaLatex®-88 or SikaLatex®-118 to increase the adhesive performance.

MIXING & APPLICATION

For a 20 kg bag, the recommended mixing ratio is approximately 4.4–4.8 litres of water. For a 25 kg bag, use approximately 5.5–6.0 litres of water, subject to the required consistency and site conditions. The product should be mechanically mixed before application with a suitable notched trowel.

The recommended open time is approximately 20 minutes under normal temperature and humidity conditions. Tile adjustment can generally be carried out within approximately 20 minutes after placement.
